Symptom

You want to transfer a .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info domain or another generic domain.

Solution

1) Unlock domain
The domain must not be locked for transfers at your current provider. Remove the lock before you order the transfer.

2) No “private” or “anonymous” registration
If your domain is registered as “private” or “anonymous”, you won’t find your own contact data in the domain data record, including your e-mail address. It will be different from yours. However, to transfer a domain, you must be able to receive e-mails on the address listed in the domain data.

3) Valid e-mail address in the domain data
The domain owner data must have a valid, accessible e-mail address. If the e-mail address is wrong or if you cannot access the mailbox behind that e-mail address you will not be able to initialize the transfer, because you cannot receive the transfer confirmation request.

4) Last update of domain owner data must be older than 60 days, domain must be older than 60 days
Each domain owner update starts a 60 days lock period during which a CNOBI domain cannot be transferred to another owner or registrar.
