Symptom
Your software does not only require a database name, login name and password, but also a server name of your database server.
Solution
Your database server runs on the same host computer as your website. Therefor you can use the server name “localhost”. “localhost” resolves to the IP address of the local server.
If you want to access your database server with a software that is running on a different computer, you cannot use “localhost”, but must either use the IP address of the host computer or the host’s name. The host name can be found in the server setup mail that also lists your other access credentials. Please be aware that you must explicitely allow access from other computers for the user in question if you want to access your database from other computers. By default your database user can only access the local database server (“localhost”).
