Symptom
My mail client cannot send mails anymore. I see an error message like: „Socket Error 11002“.
Cause
Your computer cannot reach a DNS server, so that it cannot find the route to the mail server. Either your computer is not connected with the Internet or the name server that your computer and router use is not responding. This is not an issue of the web space or mail server here.
Solution
- Check whether you can surf websites on the Internet. Maybe you are offline?
- Restart your computer. Sometimes software crashes and causes all kinds of issues.
- Check your antivirus software: Was is recently updated? Did you make changes to the configuration? Maybe a security features blocks the Internet communication.
