Symptom
When creating an SSL certificate, the webspace control panel responds:
Could not issue a Let's Encrypt SSL/TLS certificate for
Cause
The domain is not routed to the webspace.
or
The domain should change the provider, but the move is not yet completed, the new IP address on the Internet is not yet known everywhere.
In these cases, Let's Encrypt cannot retrieve the token file from the domain because the domain does not point to the web space for which the Let's Encrypt SSL certificate shall be installed.
Solution
Make sure that the domain for which the certificate is to be created is actually routed to the webspace. If the domain has just been created or is migrating from another provider, it may take several hours for the new IP address to point to the correct webspace. Wait for this time and try again later to create the certificate.
