Typo3 is using the command line tool Image Magick, a software for image manipulation. As the PHP permissions to execute programs on the command line level are unavailable, Image Magick cannot be run. The Bitpalace Business Booster is a secure web space. PHP permissions to execute Linux command line programs cannot be granted in such environments, because this would enable PHP to access data outside your own web space, e.g. other customer accounts, their files, databases and passwords. These commands are unavailable in our accounts, because Bitpalace runs a secure shared hosting environment. There may be providers who do not attach importance to this and allow command line commands from CMS like Typo3.

While Image Magick is unavailable in a Bitpalace Business Booster, the PHP modules Imagick and GD are. By these you can perform image manipulation as well, and as a matter of fact, they are used by many other popular CMS.
